Children’s Dentistry
We are proud here at Abercorn Dental Care to be a child friendly practice. Dental care for babies and children on the NHS is free and all children are entitled to this treatment as soon as a baby tooth appears. We encourage and advise parents to bring their children along to the practice from an early age. It is true that your very young children might not co-operate with us at first (or not at all) but we cannot stress the importance of getting them used to visiting the dentist from an early age.
We provide a very relaxed environment for children. In our waiting room we have a range of toys, their own seating section with beanbags and our very own “Tooth fairy garden” for your children to enjoy and make their visit that little bit extra special. We make that extra effort to praise our child patients and provide countless stickers, balloons and time to “play” with our fascinating equipment.
Many adults will admit to having a dental fear and sometimes parents can pass these fears onto their children without even realising. We encourage parents on the day of your dental visit to say something like “Super News today, we are going to the dentist and its going to be lots of fun.”
